I don't think anyone posted this yet, but Mike Thaler and Teddy Piepkow were at the radio show tonight. Both talked on air about their senior season and how things have gone. They were VERY well spoken and did a REALLY nice job!!!!!

WELL DONE, GUYS!!!

Did they talk about the game at all, or how the Kent game has affected them?

Can you believe......

That Urban wanted Thaler at Center or offensive guard his freshman year? Good grief, Thaler is just now up to 290 , he couldn't have been more than 270 in his freshman year, would't have believed it hadn't Thaler said this at Frickers Radio Show.

Besdes that, the guys said that they realized that they had to step it up big time to get back into the East Div. race. It was nice to see those guys.

What were you, in diapers when Urbie was here? Size is not everything my friend...jusk ask Mr. Mathis:

He has 9 sacks and 6 forced fumbles in 8 games this year.

Meaning he's at the right position given his size. He's a very strong 6'1 290. Without him at NG , we'd be even smaller at DT, unless we did a better job of bulking up the guys we had. Its just funny when I hear Coach Brandon mentioned that we needed Culp to get his weight up before he could be a starter on the offensive line, but the same is not said for the D-line. Just an observation. :-\

in reading quotes from the website i really liked what Teddy P. had to say about the senior class!

Teddy Piepkow, Linebacker
(What does the team and defense have to do to pull this win out?)
"I think it is all about playing together, having trust in each other and having trust in the system, being in the position to make plays and making them."

(Do you feel this team still has something to prove against a quality opponent?)
"Right now, we are playing for each other and we are playing for a championship. We are playing for the guys that were here before us. For the last four years, we have been successful and we do not want to be the class to drop that tradition."

Those are excellent quotes! I was happy to read that as well.
Sounds like the SR players are stepping up to lead the team at the most crucial time. Perfect.

GO FALCONS!!! TAKE THE EAST TITLE!!!
