I have made a few posts in the last week or so making it sound like we have no chance without Omar, I really don't believe that. I think it will be tough without him but what really frustrates me, is not seeing him play. I mean I feal honored to have a player of this magnitude playing for BGSU, and watching him put up numbers that he has in the past. What I am really trying to say is that I just want to see as much of this guy play as possible before his career is over at BG. I might sound spoiled here but has anyone else in the past during a blow out, such as the BG WMU ame in 04', got pissed off when they took Omar out in the second half even though it was the right thing to do. I just can't get enough of watching him play!!!! Hopefully we will see him against Miami. GO BG!!!!

YEp, I dont believe in leting off. I feel we can and should play our A game for four full quarters. We are doing no one any favors by backing off, and no one would be doing us any favor by backing off.
I also like watching the magic like you do. I am however optimistic that we will see Omar next season. He now has a ? for durability with his shoulder and another season will settle that and give him more exposure and time behind center to polish up. I understand the draw of the money, but it will be there and there is no replacing game time. One more season will build all of that.

Until we're up on Ohio or whoever by 800 points in the fourth quarter and they start blitzing ten people to intentionally try and hurt Omar. I wouldn't really blame 'em all that much either.

Winning with class and dignity is much much more important to me than running up the score on helpless opponents (I'm speaking more of last year obviously). Although I too would've liked to see Omar throw for 60 TD's last year, which he might have actually done had he played every snap, I would much rather be seen as a classy university instead of the Texas Tech of the MAC or the BG Spurriers.

Well said, J4H. Winning AND losing with class is something BG should always strive to do. Doyt Perry preached that night and day...."Losing gracefully if need be".

I think I came off the wrong way and I appologize, I was just trying to make the point of how much I love to watch Omar play. I am the last person who believes in running the points up on people.

Nope -- I understood your post and completely agree. It is a privelege to have a player of his talent come through our program and we should be thankful every game we get to see him. I was responding to Mac's idea of playing the A-team four quarters of every game.
