but i think we need to become one day toledo fans again tomorrow night. a toledo victory over northern illinois clinches the MAC west for them.

it also ensures a completely vanilla offense and defense from toledo next tuesday as they won't want to show us most of their playbook in case they have to face us again in detroit. that does nothing but make our job easier next week.

it really does pain me to say it, but let's hope the rockettes can beat the huskies tomorrow night.

I think they'll bring it to us no matter what. They'll play to win.

That's a good point.....I guess I wouldn't mind that. If that were to happen and we beat UT next week, it would be awesome to play Toledo in the MACC as well.

screw that = if we're going to win the East lets do it by beating Toledo.. not by routing for them to beat another deam in the West so that can water down their playbook for us.
Like the Red Sox fans who wanted to go through the Yankees.. I wanna beat the crap out of Toledo to win the East.

Screw that I want to see the rivalry at its best. Plus it would be nice to see NIU get over the UT hump.

screw just winning the east against toledo... let's win the whole thing against them too.

i'm not saying i don't want BG to kick the tar out of toledo next week, just saying every little bit helps. while this is a huge rivalry, the bigger game is in detroit assuming both teams take care of business.

I will never root for Toledo. Ever.*

I am with you on this. Toledo would never go light on us, esp if they beat us and Akron wins they get the Zips.
The BG toledo game is a battle.

Assuming you guys win the East and UT wins the West, that means you would play two weeks in a row, right? I'm curious as to what kind of effect you think that would have on the second game.

It would pull out all the stops, at a neutal site. The level of play would be something to see....i wonder if Tom would wear a plastic whistle, or a stylish gold one....

I don't think anyone really knows. Hence, I think it's in the public interest that we find out this year. :D

Well, it does directly benefit BG. It could be huge in a three-way tiebreaker since Miami and Akron both played NIU and we play Toledo. I'll be swallowing the hate and rooting for the penises to win.
