If Toledo beats NIU, and Miami beats the Bobkittens, we win even if we happen to lose to UT . WHICH WE WON"T
The tie breaker is cross conference and we beat Ball State.

Not if miami wins -- that would create a three way tie and fall to cross-conference opponents records. There is detailed conversation on this in the tie breaker threadbgsufan1972 wrote:WRONG!!!!!!!!!! SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If we lose, and Akron wins, Akron goes.... First tie breaker is head to head and we lost to Akron. Sorry to say it...He just need to win!!
Always ... but if the above scenario plays out, aren't we all 1-2 in cross conference play?always a falcon wrote:Sorry if it has been posted- little groggy today.

Record against crossover opponents is irrelevant. The third tie-breaker is the record OF your crossover opponenets, meaning the team that played the tougher crossover opponents gets the nod. Check out the tie-breaker thread for J4H and mine's dicussion on the topic.1987alum wrote:Always ... but if the above scenario plays out, aren't we all 1-2 in cross conference play?always a falcon wrote:Sorry if it has been posted- little groggy today.

BG ... beat Ball State, lost to Western, Toledo
Miami ... beat Eastern, lost to Northern, Central
Akron ... beat Northern, lost to Central, Ball State
No common opponent in cross conference here.
What's the next tie-breaker...

But ...always a falcon wrote:Guys- it doesn't matter about Akron because they already have 3 losses and we only have 2. Miami beat them and we beat Miami. I know we lost to them, but somehow- it works.
I wish I could tell you where I got it but I can't

If the unspeakable happens,
i.e.
UT > BG
MU > OU
AU > KSU
Then BG, MU and AU all have three conference losses.

Honestly I can't see the Bobcats losing to Miami in Peden...1987alum wrote:But ...always a falcon wrote:Guys- it doesn't matter about Akron because they already have 3 losses and we only have 2. Miami beat them and we beat Miami. I know we lost to them, but somehow- it works.

I can't rule out anything in this year's MAC. Don't underestimate the "pissed off" factor in this game. Miami is still going to be hurting from how bad they played last night. I expect them to rebound with a vengeance.rc_ziggy84 wrote:Honestly I can't see the Bobcats losing to Miami in Peden...1987alum wrote:But ...always a falcon wrote:Guys- it doesn't matter about Akron because they already have 3 losses and we only have 2.
