Did we ever figure out what year that was.

It's such a crazy angle, too -- the lines on the field bear no relationship to the angle of what appears to be a simple handoff.

Steeer, great picture!!!!! I'll try to find a year, I have a fairly good source.

I think they do. It appears to me that the ball carrier is about to cross the goal line, or possibly just did. The photographer would be standing behind the endzone right at the hash (his/her right hash, BG's left) and taken at an angle slightly toward the photographer's left.

There just appears to be a large X painted in the end zone (possibly a series of them, but we can only see one). Most of the seats in the photo are in the opposite end zone, although on the left you can see the base and a little of what appears to be the larger more permanent seating area along that sideline.

Oh: Bowling Green's helmet design makes it clear that was 1968 -- the only year they ever used an interlocking "BG."

Sophomore Bill Deming capped a seesaw fourth
quarter when he intercepted a Western Michigan University
pass and dashed 30 yards for a touchdown to set the stage
for a 17-10 Bowling Green victory in a Mid-American
Conference football game.

Junior Al Silva rounded out the Bowling Green scoring,
adding an extra point kick to an earlier conversion, a
field goal from the 25-yard line, and a one-yard plunge
by Fred Mathews.

Western scoring consisted of a 22-yard pass from Mark
Bordeaux to end Greg Flaska and a conversion kick and
field goal by John Mowatt.

More than 19,000 fans watched the Western homecoming
game, which left the Broncos with a 1-3 overall record and
0-2 in the MAC. Bowling Green 1-0 league record and is 3-0
for the season.

Bowling Green tallied first after middle guard Joe Green
intercepted a Bordeaux pass on the WMU 23. After no gain
on three plays, Silva kicked a 23-yard field goal.
