Maybe this is already known, but..... Espn. com is saying that if Western
wins then BG will play Toledo for the Championship.

I'm pretty sure that you are right, BG has two ways to get to the MAC Championship. The first takes place today...If Western Michigan beat Northern Illinois than BG will go to the MAC Championship. If Northern Illiniois wins today then the only way BG will go to the MAC Championship is if Kent State beats Akron.

Most likely neither will happen.....Therefore, we sit home for the holidays and be happy that they are finally breaking ground on the SEBO!!!

Re the game last night - I was impressed with how hard we played. We left it all on the field and unfortunately the terds were just a little better. A great crowd that stayed for most of the game. I thought the field looked real nice too. Hats off to the grounds crew team for doing a great job this year.

I guess you never know in the MAC nowadays but I for one don't have high hopes for a favorable outcome today.

Note - I loved the brown jerseys. They looked great!!

If I were the MAC people, I would be praying for a WMU win today. This would likely but BG vs. UT, which would be a huge turnout for the MAC Championship. Two huge rivals, both close in proximity to Detroit, dedicated fans, and football indoors...it would be awesome. GO BRONCOS!

Good point. A 6-5 Akron team is not a good draw.

Whereas a 6-5 Bowling Green team will have TV executives salivating.

:duh:

(I'm actually not disagreeing, just pointing to the obvious irony.)

I hear ya Schade, but at least we have a marketable QB and exciting offense. What does Akron bring that would entice a fan in Oregon or Oklahoma or Alabama to watch the game?
