I'm posting it just because CFN put it out there. I know we usually get 4-5 pages on this every offseason, and I know where most of us all stand on the issue, just thought I'd throw the link out there.
Say what you will about CFN, but this is the exact structure that I'd like to see implemented.

Yeah, that formula makes so much more sense than the stupid BCS system. CFN may have some smart people over there after all.

As far as postseason models go, I like this one. It's fair to everyone involved and it rewards conference champions as well as the other teams that prove their worth throughout the year. One loss would not cripple a team's chance at a national title. I would love to see a playoff, but I won't hold my breath waiting for it to occur.
The one model that I can't stand is the BCS "Plus 1" theory that Herbstreit is in love with. This year, for example, if Texas beats USC, then who plays Texas for the national title? If it is USC and then USC beats Texas, do they play a 3rd game to determine the champ? Or do they just pick years when one extra game would be necessary?

the bcs is crap, the bowl system is crap just becasuse it now rewards middle of the run schools. yes i understand that the money the bowls bring in to the schools, and that its one more game. but dam i will take a game with meaning over just another game any day.
this system makes good sense, limits the number of teams,a nd if you wanted you could easily after the first round, implement a bunch of bowl match ups for folks who like that, and it would interfer with the playoffs.
