If you could get this game together and put it on Fox sports or something, wouldnt it get ratings? Wouldnt you all go?
Why couldnt we do it? I am sure there are NCAA regulations but what are they specifically. How can they keep 2 bowl eligible teams from making a bowl themselves? We could play at Notre Dame? Thats about half way....?
just seems like a waste to have these two teams and two players sitting at home when people would watch them.

It probably would make a good game, but as is life in the MAC. You either make the most out of your opportunities when you're on the field, or you sit back and watch as other MAC teams do what you couldn't get done yourself. There's no doubt that BG and NIU have been two of the best teams in the MAC the last five years, yet, neither has a MAC title to show for it, and only three bowl game appearances combined. There's no question those people in DeKalb can share and understand our pain. But I'm not feeling too sorry for NIU yet, they'll be loaded next season and my pick to win it all.

While I'd love to see BG play another game this season, I'd not attend or watch. I'd boycott on mere principal. If you are not good enough to get into one of the 28 bowl games currently playing, then tough. If you want to play in the postseason GET BETTER. Don't make up some even more meaningless game to try and cheat the system (as bad as that current system may be).

Or you could just join Conference USA (cough, cough, UCF).
