Wisconsin Tickets

Mabey I am a bad fan? Or mabey I'm just use to The Doyt.

I just noticed that lower level seats for the game at Brown's Stadium "start at" $30.00, which I interpret as $100.00 for a pair of "good" seats.

Is anyone aware of any alumni associations and/or groups putting something together. Apparently you get a deal for groups of 20 or more - how about a AZZ.com group? Really, nobody has to talk to me (or even look at me), but the wife and I would like to go and $100.00 (plus parking and refreashments) for one game just is not in our budget.

Most likely we'll still go, but it looks like the upper-deck-endzone seats for us.

I know this is too much to ask but can you imagine how cool it would be to have that game at the Doyt? 8)

The BGSUAA and the Athletic Department are working together to put together a series of events in and around Cleveland that weekend. May include packaging of tickets with other events (i.e. Indians games/Browns pre-season game). Info will come out sometime over the winter once the MAC schedule is officially released. Check www.bgsualumni.com or at Athletics website.

Junior,
You're right ... it would be cool...but can you imagine how much we'd have to charge for tix in a 24K seat stadium to make enough bucks to meet guarantees, expenses etc.? And we already have folks not happy with current pricing structure... (I assume they've NEVER been to Columbus for a game at ...what was the last time? $57 each? Now probably will be at least $65 per ticket. I think the Brown's stadium is still a great venue for us to play in, not to mention the publicity we'll get from the game.

Good point. I guess I should be thankful that all the games aren't $50.00/seat. But that doesn't mean I have to like it.

Question?
With this game taking place in Cleveland at a pvt venue, will there be beer sales from the concessions stands? there is so much to be said for just being able to order a beer and a dog to enjoy durring the game...or shushi.

I'd be very surprised if there are no beer sales at CBS.

but both the wolstein center and dix are on campus.

is there really a "law" governing such practices, or is it just policy that varies form university to university?

The NCAA has no anti-beer policy. It is a decision that is made from one campus to another.

FAQ #101...

Can Stadiums sell beers?

A: Any Stadium/Venue may sell beer on any college campus, it is up to each university and college to decide this. I can give you a list of locations that sell beer in or around the stadium... including Doyt Perry... what? You can get alcohol at the Doyt? If you're in one of the boxes or the President's club their is alcohol.

So this Urban Myth about not have alcohol at college games is just that its a myth.
