That gives the staff about 2 weeks (or more if Omar makes his call sooner) to nail down any recruits that are basing their decision on Omar being here or not being here.

(contact with recruits is permissable up until Jan 28th this year per NCAA website)

I was told they were planning on signing two QB's, no matter what Omar decided to do.

That makes good sense. Either way, you need depth next season at the latest.

I was thinking baout WR's who may want a season of catching Omar's passes.

Given some of the young receivers you have and the traditional decisions that Brandon makes.......I would bet most if not all incoming receivers would redshirt next year anyway.

Typically, yes....but I recall reading that a couple of the offensive targets have been told that they could step in right away. I think Kendrick Johnson from Florida( soft Clemson verbal) fits that category.

I actually don't think wide recievers will make a decision based on Omar. Even if he stays, that's just one year. They recognize that the bulk of their college career would be with a different quarterback. Many of them know there is a good posibility they would end up redshirting, so no Omar either way it goes. They will base their decision on the QBs behind Omar and on they type of offense that we run.

A quarterback may base their decision on Omar staying/leaving because they could get a year to learn from him. They would get a full year to develop with his guidance and then compete for the spot once he's gone.

True, but if we were targeting a star JUCO, it could carry some weight being that player would like have just two seasons, one with the potential of snagging passes from Omar. But I agree with your point if it's a four-year guy, it likely wouldn't matter much.
