Jeez Freak...it must be the Christmas spirit of good will to all mankind. I'm hoping for a specific 1-1 record because now I only care about my office pool.
The only concession is that i won't be standing line for 5 hours in some southern airport this year.

I've gotta pull for Toledo and Akron as well. It looks like it's up to the MAC's "city schools" to bring home some wins this year. For obvious reasons, I don't feel that comfortable pulling for Toledo, but they always seem to be playing in the postseason whether we like it or not. I did take a few classes at Akron, so I can cheer for them a lot easier. But, if they both do well, the MAC does well in its bowl results. Good luck to both teams.

I just hope Turdledo doesn't make assess out of themselves like they did last time the played in the MCB.

Yeah, but to Toledo's credit, they were banged up at some key positions and were basically without injured QB Bruce Gradkowski and RB Scotter McDougle in their bowl game, who both were hurt in the MAC Championship. Gradkowski tried to give it a go, but had to be pulled and they weren't the same team at all without him. Look at how we looked at times this year without Jacobs and Pope. We weren't the same team at all against WMU, Akron and Kent without Jacobs. When we lost Jacobs, we took a major step back and our offense looked just like it did in the mid to late 1990s.

33, I think he meant about their propensity towards fighting.

I am a BG fan first; MAC fan second.

What's good for the MAC is good for BG. Go Rockets and go Zips!

I hate Toledo, but I'll root for 'em in their bowl matchup. I'll also be rooting for the Zips as well. It's a good story for Akron to make the bowl. In the end it helps our conference look better if we do well in our bowls.

That fighting thing was the 2002 MCB against Boston College, not our last trip to the MCB which was against UCONN in 2004. And the persons involved in the 2002 incidents were not on the team anymore.

That's what threw me off when it said the last time Toledo was in the MCB. I thought the reference was because the Rockets lost, but I do remember the BC incident from several years ago.

Chris Speilman did that game for ESPN and said that Toledo was "setting back football 20 years" with all of those 15 yard penalties. Fat head just kept yellling at the refs and never said anything to his players.
