Two of their six wins were against Arkansas State and Troy from the Sun Belt Conference. The Arkansas State game was the only road victory all year. At leat three MAC teams that ddin't go bowling are better football teams. Conference affiliations in the bowl structure are unfair. The seventh place Big 12 team playing this late is shameful!

Its the Toledo connection with Pinkle. Just as we stole the GMAC Bowl from the far more deserving NIU team we used our nefarious ways to finagle a bowl bid in a last ditch attempt to save Pinkle's head coaching career as a thank you for all he did for us. God, it's great having this kind of power over the bowl committees. Next year- BCS!

unless they make 6-6 teams bowl-eligible, we may see every team with a winning record go bowling next year

NIU deserves to be in this bowl instead of Missouri. Boy I can't say that with a straight face. If I read one more comment from a NIU fan about how they always get screwed out of bowl games because they are not an Ohio school....................................
In 2003 they had to sit at home with a 10-2 record while BG played in the MCB. Last year BG took the GMAC from them so they had to go out to the SVC. This year UT took the GMAC from them and they had to sit home.

I hate to admit it, but I'd rather watch NI over Missouri anyday. Heck, I'd like to watch any MAC team over any other team anyday! Except Tuleda.
