Omar is going to the NFL

Post by Touchdown Rockets »

As reported by our own Midnightblue&gold:
Midnightblue&gold wrote:On the Fox Toledo Sports they just announced that Omar Jacobs will forego his senior season and go to the NFL draft. That's all they said. I guess he got tired of losing to Toledo.
UT is listed in the 2004 edition of The Unofficial, Unbiased Guide to the 328 Most Interesting Colleges by Trent Anderson and Seppy Basili as one of the U.S. schools with the “Most Beautiful Urban Campus.”

This must be breaking news because Fox Toledo's website hasn't posted anything yet. If it's true he's going I personally wish him all the best in the NFL and thank him for helping to bring Bowling Green national notoriety.

Oh, and please don't go to the Browns.

I'm still treating it as it's in rumor state.

I do think he will, but I'm watching for something more official.

I agree. If it is true, I assume that we will see something official tomorrow. Good luck to Omar and thanks for the memories.

With or without Omar, I think Bowling Green football is going to be fine.

More power to him, if true.

Consider the source. I'll believe this when I hear it from someone who isn't a Toledo fan.

Thanks BGDrew, I couldn't have said it any better myself.

Maybe Sparta can let us know if this this quote from the turdledo board is true as well

I've heard that WR Corey Partridge may not be coming back to BG next year either.

Actually, I just finished listening to Fox news, and they said "Omar will make his decision by next week".
I fully expect him to leave but this BS from Turdledo, is just what you would expect from a aschool of that caliber.

I was curious about the PArtridge thing, too. I've heard no hint of any dissatisfaction or academic trouble there. Hard to imagine he would leave, unless maybe Omar plans to take him with him to the NFL. I do have to think Omar would be nuts not to leave and, hey, wh knows better than his girlfriend.

Bye the bye, if you listen to Fox news you get what you deserve whether you're from a school the caliber of Toledo or one the caliber of BG, which is pretty much the same caliber.

Is that why you like to hang around over here so much?

No doubt. We have bigger needs than a project QB.

Actually I hang around over here so much because I know Grant, and his dad was a great friend of mine. I kind of miss some of that give and take we had going over the years. I assume you have similar reasons for your postings over on the Rocket boards.
