Both a happy and sad day at BG

First off I am very happy for him and his decision. You can never fault someone for trying to better themselves or do what is best for them. I just hope this decision is the best one for him down the road in the NFL and I hope things work out for him as he hopes they do. Whether he stayed or left early, there's no certainty in his NFL future either way.
On the other hand, I am sad we won't see him back in a BG uniform next season. He had a great career, but this season was such a sour way to see him go out as a Falcon. We appeared on path for a MAC title and another bowl game, but on one play, it was almost like BG football changed when he got hurt. He got knocked out of a game against WMU, we struggled without him and resembled nothing of the team we were with him, and with a season-ending loss to Toledo, that closed the book on not only our season, but Omar's career. To think of him going out this way hurts. We were all fans, and I wish him the best of luck.
I hope the advice he was given to leave early was good advice and you can be sure of one thing - there may be some BG fans wishing he stayed, but all the fans, students and alums of all the other MAC schools are happy he's leaving.
Good luck Omar.
