Just thought I'd share some quotes from the East/West Shrine game practice reports on scout.com. Obviously Omar is not eligible for these types of games, but Bruce is playing in this game. So far it sounds like exactly what I'd expect of him: good accuracy, but lacking in arm strength. Anyways here's the quotes:

From Day1:

~Bruce Gradkowski was the player who wowed the scouts the earliest by excelling at the passing drills. The quarterbacks coach asked the players to call out a part of the receivers body before he threw the ball and hit them there five times in a row. Gradkowski was up to 8 times in a row by unofficial count while no other quarterback reached five.

From Day2 (in windy conditions):

~Quarterbacks definitely had the hardest time producing in today’s conditions. Bruce Gradkowski’s arm strength was severely tested as he was consistently short and behind on his throws throughout the day. On a more positive note Gradkowski did display a knack for making throws on the run and finding his check down receivers when pressured.

I am fairly certain several juniors ahve been invited to these games in the past.

The post season all star games are for graduating seniors only. Maybe they've made concessions in the past, but that is the general rule.

Right, it used to be that only seniors could play in most of these games, but in recent years these rules have softend. Now, juniors that have declared to the NFL are eligible to play as well in some of these bowls. The problem for these juniors is that they wait so long to declare that most postseason all star games have their rosters established. In fact, I think only the Senior Bowl is the only bowl that holds to the view that all players in their game must have complete their college eligiblity.

The old setup was that only seniors could play in the games, other than the Hula Bowl, which played under collegiate rules in contrast to the professional rules most postseason all star games are played. It used to be that Hula Bowl players could even return to college football the next season if the decided to forego the draft. But anymore, I don't think this is the case. I think all these bowl require now, is that draft eligible players (junior or older) play in these games.
