It's dated Jan. 11, I don't believe Omar had signed with an agent at that point, maybe they wait until there's no turning back before issuing an invite.kslates wrote:I don't see his name on the list, is that right?

He had to go. Staying to try to have another 2004 season would have been a bigger risk than leaving now. Looks like a good spot may be for him to land in Miami, Looks like Houston may take Young, Miami may take a LB first round to keep rebuilding the aging defense there and go QB 2nd rd. I haven't checked into it much abd/or seen the draft orders. but I would imagine if Houston takes Young, then Arizona will go for Bush? Greenbay probably wont take a QB with Rodgers behind Favre. They will want to give him a shot since they are paying him 1st round money.bgbrandon wrote:I hope he plays in canada..and yes i realize there is no team from canada in the NFL. I am guessing detroit may be in for a QB and may take Leinart (dont know draft order/who needs a QB that would be ahead of them in draft order)
How serious is Palmer's injury in Cincy?? Last I heard is he may be out for a long time, maybe next November? They may trade to get Carr from Houston when they take VY.
I wouldnt imagine they would draft a QB unless they discover Palmers career is over, that may Force Miami to take an Omar 1st round.
However, the one thing that could hurt Omar getting drafted early (1st/2nd rounds) is that Since Drew Breese signed new contract with San Diego, a team may decide to trade for Phillip Rivers since he has two years of NFL training in the bag instead of drafting a QB. Like I said also Carr may be traded if they do decide to draft Young.

Leinart will not be on the board when Detroit picks.tekekini wrote:He had to go. Staying to try to have another 2004 season would have been a bigger risk than leaving now. Palmer is fine and will be back for the regular season at the latest.
Houston isn't taking VY as they paid a huge roster bonus to David Carr and have publicly stated they are taking Reggie Bush.
San Diego has publicly stated that they are keeping Rivers and Brees.
Only wrong four times in that little speech -- at least you're improving.

Your right, I didnt realize Tennessee picks before Detroit, He will be in Tennessee with his old OC

I have not seen/heard anything regarding this. I just checked all of the press releases, news, rumors on Houstons website, ESPN, NFL.com have seen nothing about this. Everything I hear is that they are being pressured by locals to take VY, they have domanick davis, Everyone there wants VY. So I wont say I am right, but I wouldnt say I am wrong yet either.
San Diego has publicly stated that they are keeping Rivers and Brees.
Again, I have not heard or seen this. Everything I hear is they are willing to deal Rivers. Obviously they are going to keep him if they dont get a fair offer, but they are dumping a lot of money on two QB's when one is never going to play.

Please show me proof, it wasnt a speech or a research paper, I am going off of everything I have heard thus far and it is not even the off season. Everything is speculation.. Just because someone comes out and says they are taking Bush doesnt mean that they are..The contract has not been signed yet.
