I saw them on the AP wire last night. If I remember right, he had a couple carries for 15 or so yards, and two catches for 21. I accidentally saw his catch right before the half on the 2AM replay last night. Did a nice job of getting himself open when Betts had to scramble.Rightupinthere wrote:Anyone find stats on the game? Can't find any mention of Pope on-line.
I beg to differ somewhat. His deep balls that were caught were not strong throws but more akin to hail mary's that the receivers made great catches on. But he still has the intangibles that will get him a look.Bleeding Orange wrote:Bruce looked really good from what I saw of the E-W Game! I hate the SOB, but I was really pulling for him. That was a weird feeling, let me tell you!
That moron would probably be me although I don't think I ever said that. What I did say was he was a pretty versatile guy and I could see him being drafted with the idea of him playing another position, specifically safety. I think I added RB and WR sort of tongue in cheek after he had receiving, rushing and passing yards in the East-West game. That doesn't mean I'm not a moron, just a taken out of context moron.Redwingtom wrote:[
But one moron on macbbs actually posted that he thought Bruce could play RB in the NFL...now that is funny!

Also fun to listen to the announcers talk about "athletic" QBs and not mention Gradkowski as he runs away from defenders twice for big third down games. I guess we all know what they mean by "athletic" don't we? I think Bruce could play safety or even running back in the NFL.
