Good Book Recommendation

I picked up a book the other day that I wanted to recommend. It's called "Every Week A Season" by Brian Curtis. It's a great look inside college football.
The author spent last season visiting a different school every week, getting unlimited access to the coaches and players. He was at schools like Tennessee, LSU, Wisconsin, and Maryland (a few Blackney references) during the weeks leading up to big games.
He got to sit in on all meetings, practices, and roamed the sidelines during the games.
After reading it, you'll have an appreciation of how hard the coaches work to get the teams ready.
If you get a chance, check it out.

Thanks! On another note, I think football fans would enjoy Sweet Season by Austin Murphy of SI, who spent a similar year with the St. John's Johnnies, and their unconventional but highly successful DIII coach.

Anyone else looking forward to the movie, Friday Night Lights? I know I am!

yeah....but their add as "one of the greatest sports stories of all time" kind of bugs me. Unless it involves the phrase 'Remember the Titans' in the title, no HS football story can be one of the greatest sports stories ever.

I thought A Season on the Brink, Friday Night Lights, and a book called Domers, were all great books. I don't read much in the way of sports related books, but they were good reads.
