I only caught two little bits, one was with Coach McCall talking about Turner's future and also about how great Omar has been thus far. the other part I caught was with Coach Brandon.
He talked about certain players didn't "step up" thier game Friday night. We have players on defense who need to play better. We will work in practice on takling, etc. Never named anyone in particular. Also never said what exactly we will work on in practice. Seems like the same kind of rhetoric that Coach Amstutz was using after UT's first two debacles.
Also, and I thought this was interesting for two reasons, Todd asked him about how NFL teams will get a huge guy, ala Ted Washington, and parked him in the middle of the defense to stop the run. Derrick Markray is our biggest player. Any thought to moving him to defense? Brandon said that Markray is an offensive player and he needs to learn the offense. No thought of moving him to defense. Interesting that Brandon pretty much dismissed this as a crazy idea. Makes sense to me when you have a guy that is not playing, maybe he could help somewhere else. Also, someone on here posted that very idea after the game Friday. Think maybe Todd trolls around here to get ideas about what to ask the Coach?
