Good news there.

Flip,
You are turning into a recruiting guru. Thanks to you and the others that keep all this info up to date. GB should offer you a job as recruiting coordinator.

Siging Day is almost here. GO BG!~

Interesting that this article says Bowling Green State University. My edition of the PD says Bowling Green State....not like Bob Fortuna, whom I know personally to goof like that...wondered who made the error/correction. :?

And in Roger Brown's column today, he says PJ Pope is in Cleveland working out with trainers Eric Lichter & Tim Robertson.

So from that we can gather that he's likely sipping Daquiris and eating deep fried Oreos in Australia.

I can't believe you didn't mention this gem in Mr Brown's column today:

"If the Indians eventually succeed in trading outfielder Coco Crisp and reliever Arthur Rhodes this off-season (and keep Brandon Phillips buried in the minors), they could begin the 2006 season with one black player, starting pitcher C.C. Sabathia, on their roster - and no black coaches. That would be the smallest black presence on an Indians roster in years. It might affect the team's efforts to attract and retain young black fans, many of whom grew up - and attached to the Indians - watching Sabathia, Crisp, Eddie Murray, Albert Belle, Kenny Lofton, Ellis Burks, Dave Winfield, Matt Lawton, Marquis Grissom and Milton Bradley."

I guess Mark Shapiro is just a racist.

Houston got to the World Series following that "model"... though if there were TWO teams with one black player between them, Scoop Jackson would have a coronary.

I don't know which to be more confuddled about... the people that count how many of a certain race are on a team at a given time, or those that worry about having enough... :?

This is just another example of why no one should ever read Roger Brown. He's an idiot.
