You know, I've heard that too. The Big 11 is one that comes to mind, but they always seem to have a Northwestern type school that fills the last spot. I'm not sure what other BCS conference will not fill their spots, maybe the Big East??? Conference USA is the non-BCS school that sticks out in my mind as not being able to fill all of their spots.BGSUfanatUT wrote:Ive been hearing rumors that the "major" conferences wont be able to fill all of their slots this year, more than us small time football teams
This is just a guess as to why that is but it is probably becausing they keep adding more bowls over the last five years. The last two years everyone had 12 game schedules and going 6-6 made you eligible for a bowl game. With an 11 game schedule will have to leave out a couple more teams who go 5-6 and could have possibly ended up 6-6.UK Peregrine Fan wrote:You know, I've heard that too.
