I'm pretty sure this is a misprint in the PD, but the Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting this morning that RB/DB Jahmal Brown will sign with Toledo today instead of BG. I know UT offered him, but I was pretty sure he was a solid BG verbal and UT stopped recruiting him at that point. Anyone else hear anything?

I am sure it is just a mistake in the PD. They still think Marshall is in the MAC......at least according to a recruiting article on Marshall commit Bryant Milligan about a week ago.

I don't see anything in the blade about it. Any chatter on the rocket boards?

Just what was in the PD and a couple of people that saw it. If the story is true, it is a surprise to the two UT fans that have the best inside sources so I think it was a mistake in the PD.

I was scouring the PD online and cannot find the story. Do you have a linky to it?

If true...great get for the Rockettes. Brown looks like a potential all MAC player at RB or Safety.

I'm hoping that the PD Writers just didn't know that UT & BG were two different schools. That paper is a total rag, but it would be a big loss to lose Brown...he looked good.

If they get him, congrats to UT, but it will be a bummer.

That would suck. I guess that would be payback for Erique Dozier.

I sincerely hope that is a misprint...Was it, by chance, in Roger Brown's column?

I haven't seen the article, but I would have to think it is a misprint. UT's class is packed full and seems especially heavy with both running backs and defensive backs. I'd be surprised if he somehow ends up at Toledo.

I just spent about a half hour looking thru their electronic edition, and couldn't find a thing, but it could have been in a later edition, if at all.

Isn't one of Brown's teammates signing with Toledo today...I think it's their kicker,

Yep, I forget the kid's last name, but he is a kicker. He described Toledo's campus as being similar to his high school's.

Yah the paper messed up over on the J.J. Hudddle they got the list of quite a number of kids names on it and they got so far $ Bg kids down and one of them was Brown's

Hopefully, this isn't another error by Bob Fortuna, who DID write the Glenville kid's verbal to Marshall, " the Mid-American Conf. school"...not like Bob to mess up...and yes UT did get Bennie's kicker , Steigerwald, so that MIGHT account for this goof.... but the PD's accuracy certainly has come into question recently.... A kid from Brush High (DL I believe) was mentioned as going to W.Va., UT, and most recently Akron. The kid MIGHT have changed his mind TWICE, but it seemed rather curious to say the least... Oh well, we'll all know sometime this afternoon after the faxes have stopped coming in, I 'd think. Go to BGSU Falcons later today...hopefully, they'll have the update ..and ACCURATE list.
