Shawn Timm, Falcon Goalie, from 1997 to 2001, lost his mother, Laura Timm to cancer yesterday. She had been battling it since her diagnosis this past summer. Those of you who knew Laura will remember what a really neat, feisty lady she was! She rarely missed a game of Shawn's.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Shawn Timm and his family.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Always sad to hear of the loss of a member of our hockey family. Thanks for the update. Feisty...yes that's a fair description...I remember a night (at Miami, if I'm not mistaken) that she had to be restrained to keep her from going over the glass. We'd like to send anote to Shawn...if you know his address, please let us know.

Anyone who knew Laura, even remotely, would remember what feisty woman she was. I think we all have fond memories of her and her time spent at BG Hockey games!!! Just thinking of her brings a smile to my face. She (and Shawn) will be remembered for a very long time around here!!!Freddie wrote:Always sad to hear of the loss of a member of our hockey family.
