We can't overlook WMU because.....

Post by BGSU33 »

.....despite being just 4-13-3 overall, 4-8-2 CCHA on the season, three of WMU's four wins were against ranked teams as the Broncos beat #4 Ohio State (5-1 & 5-4), #13 Michigan State (5-3) and Notre Dame (4-3). They also tied #15 Colgate (2-2) and lost anoter game to #15 Colgate in overtime. All of these games were in Kalamazoo where the Broncos are 4-4-0. We need to go up there and pick right up where we left off as this is a big chance to keep the win streak going and pick up some important wins and points in the CCHA standings. GO BG!!!
GO BG!!!

Good points...The sign of a good team on a streak is to not overlook anyone. BG has got to continue to play hard and not get too "cocky" and think that wins will come no matter what. It was only a week or so ago this team was 4-11-1.......

I agree also, we CANNOT play down to the level of the competition!! We have done that too many times over the years. As important as it was to sweep the schmucks was last weekend, it only makes this weekend's games MUST WIN for points we SHOULD GET!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

All we have to do is remember what our record was three weeks ago. And who we beat to get it where it is now.

I think they'll be ready. We have 3 games in a 4 day span and it's a huge opportunity to gain some ground in the standings. Nobody on the team will want to waste that opportunity, especially if Zero State loses tonight!
