Is it possible that your school’s best men's team......

Post by BGSU33 »

......can be under .500 after 22 games into a season? In reference to our hockey team, I think the answer is yes. This isn’t to cut on any of our other men’s programs, I’m just saying that you could certainly make a case that our hockey team is our best men’s sport right now, and they current reside a game under .500. Football fell way short of the expected success for 2005 and finished very average and well short of the accomplishments of the past four seasons, basketball looks like it will be facing its third losing season in the last four years, soccer went winless last season and only won a few games this past year but has fallen way off from the days not long ago it was ranked and playing in the NCAA Tournament, baseball has been pretty decent through recent years but has fallen of a little from when it was winning the MAC and making Regionals, etc. But considering the slow start hockey has had and how well they are playing now and all the ranked teams they have beaten this year, I would say they probably are our best men’s team.

As pointed out in another post though, our women’s team are really excelling in basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball, etc.
