I'm more pragmatic than some. Besides, unless you have the contract buyout coin to cough up, there isn't a damn thing any of us can do about it.
I may as well await the end of the season then share my thoughts. In the end, it's only a game and doesn't mean sh!t in the grand scheme of things (to me, at least).

You can bet tonight will be low as well with the USC vs. UCLA football game on, being that that game is deciding the National championship contenders.
What a tough night of hockey. If the students, faculty, community, don't start getting behind the players in this fire the coach thread, BG hockey will never recover. Do you really think, the former and for that matter the current playerw are going to help persaude top recruits to play for this coach. The current players have a great deal to do with recruiting. The coach may not ask them to help, but you better believe the top players will be asking questions.
If his contract is up this year, and I believe it up at the end of the year. Naming an interim coach isn't going to cost the dept as much as the empty seats.
Fire Pooch During the Christmas Break. Write the AD and have him talk to the current players for their feelings. Send some of the posting to him. The players are afraid they will be made to look like troublemakers. That is exactly what happened last year. The players voiced a concern and now look how you are treating them. They did represent the hockey program. They love BG Hockey. At this point how proud are you to say you are a BG HOCKEY Fan? BACK THE PLAYERS - GET RID POOCH NOW!!
As bad as we are playing right now, I just cannot believe that when a team loses this much it is all Pooch's fault. Hockey is a sport where coaching is not as crucial as football. Maine and Minnesota could come in here without a coach and beat us by 10.
Why do the players simply get away without any blame, because in the last two weekend we have been outscored 22-2.
Not as crucial????? The coach makes the plays, the coach sets the line-up, the coach allows the same mistakes to happen over and over. The players execute or try to what they have been coached to do.
I agree to a certain extent, the players themselves could make a difference and change things on their own make their own plays etc., but is the fear of sitting on the bench that holds them back.
I venture to say if the falcon player had no coach as well and used a bit of their own creativity that Maine or Minnesota would beat us by 10.

All this post proves is that your total lack of understanding of hockey is matched equally by your incredibly poor grasp of basic math.
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
I am quite stoopid but I know one thing for sure, if Enrico Blasi and Paluch changed places, we would immediately start winning and they would very slowly have the life choked out of them and sink to the bottom of the heap.
Coaching in hockey doesn't matter so much, that's the funniest line I've heard in years.
Yes coaching matters, but not as much as COMPARED to sports like football and basketball that are much more diagramed. In hockey most of the coaching is done in practice as compared to games. In games lines, forechecks, and powerplays are tinkered with but in hockey a coach cant give you that killer instinct to read plays ahead of time. Even the best coaches cant teach a bender how to put the puck in the net. You can teach them were to be but then it is up to the player to make the play.
The coach does not control all players on the ice like he is playing a game of bubble hockey. If that was the case then it would be all his fault.
Im not sure you are understanding the statement made. I understand you do not like coach Pooch. The statement is pointing to the nature of hockey and coaching. If you have played hockey you know good players can play together because they have an instinct to read and react to each other and the play.
Right now we do not have the ability to forsee plays developing and it is evident by our poor coaching and in some areas D-III talent.
Unfortunately you are only partially right. You are right that the coach can't skate or score out there. Unfortunately everything else is wrong. Up until collage I would have agreed with you on this standpoint but now not so much. Most coaches let their players roam and create and just give them a basis of where they should be and should be heading. Not Paluch. In practice we were told exact spots to be on the ice, I mean exact and if we weren't then we got chewed out in video sessions the next day. The PP, they practice PP all the time and they can't move in fact there are times that coach stops the practice to move a player a couple feet so that he will be where coach wants. Basically there isn't freedom to be creative on this team, its follow the coaches wishes or don't play.
Oh ya and wouldn't it be the coaches job to create a PP lineup as well as mix up the lines to find some that can actually score, or is that the players too.
