I truly am. It's the week of the UNO series and no trash talk whatsoever on either site (here or Mavpuck). Does this series mean anything to anybody at all?
I'd go over there and try to stir some stuff up, but I'm already a member of enough boards....
I'm a little disappointed

I fail to see how there could be any rivalry between us and a team in Nebraska. Not like between us and Miami, or Ohio State, or Michigan, or Michigan State.pdt1081 wrote:I truly am. Not that it matters anyway, anybody could beat us right now. I'm still hoping for the club team to challenge the university team and see what happens.

We're having our discussions, they're AD recently retired.
They are attempting to push a rivalry with us, but I see little excitement in a manufactured rivalry.
I do hope we win the pillow fight this weekend, however.

You're right it is a "manufactured" rivalry....that THEY think exists. Did AJ give it up or is he still around, stirring the pot and sending hate mail our way? I haven't been on Mavpuck in awhile, nor USCHO, so I don't know if AJ and his group are even posting any more!Rightupinthere wrote:We're having our discussions, they're AD recently retired.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Did I say from a fan's perspective? No, I said I dare you to tell Doug Schueller that is wasn't a rivalry. Yeah, try to convince me otherwise. You won't. I've seen it first hand. You haven't. I hate to sound like a "former player" but I heard that locker room speech. The Niz wrote:If there was any sort of rivalry from our perspective, then we'd have more than 1,000 fans attending each game of this series.
