CCHA top 3 NCAA tourney appearance

Post by dannyk »

What are the opinions from Falcon fans about the teams chances of earning a CCHA top 3 finish or making an NCAA appearance in the next 10 years.

Personally I really think that it may be possible that we will never win another CCHA title until a new building is built (hopefully in the next 15 years or so) The momentum it brings to a program is contaigous in the school and community. On the other hand Ferris won the league in I believe '03 then fell back into their natural habitat the CCHA basement.

As far as an NCAA appearance it is possible within 10 years but not likely. We couldnt get it done with a hot goalie and average team. Now with average tending and a below average team are chances continue to decrease.

Look at Ferris State a few years ago. They came out of no where to win the league. It's not all about the facility. Granted they were a one man show (Chris Kunitz) it goes to show that anything can happen.

We're stuck with our arena. It's fine, when it's filled.
