Allowing of 16 SOG's must mean the defence came around. OT winner came on the power play. Now a win at home tommarow is a must.
Dave Ellett is a hero. A Bowling Green Falcon and a Former Jet and Maple Leaf. What more can a Winnipegger ask for.

The only shot they allowed in the first was the goal late in the period.

Good job Falcons. Finish the sweep!

Were they going with "Throwback" jerseys tonight? The pictures on bgsufalcons.com showed the team in the "old" falcon jersey's from last year.

I think its just a picture from last year the website people decided to use, I mean we were on the road tonight, so they would have worn orange

Just a couple notes from someone who didn't have the chance to listen to the hockey game:

1) Congrats to Solway for a tremendous game. You could just tell against Notre Dame that the kid had a lot of energy and a knack for making plays. Tonight just showed that.
2) Eno was decent, but I'd like to see him stopping more shots than what he did. When your defense plays as well as ours did, it's hard to judge the play of the goalie. I'm curious to see how he'd do against a team like Miami.
3) Good job by our guys on the special teams tonight. Keep that up throughout the season.

Not seeing the game either I kind of agree with you about Eno, but I will also say we may want to contribute some of that To youth, it is his first season...I wonder if Coach will give him the nod to start tonight at home, in front of the home crowd..man if we can win tonight out right what a building block.
Man Ferris realy stuck it ton Ohio State lastnight form what Im reading..holly cow! Dont know whats going with that sounds like Ohio State just out of sorts.
And I was able to Watch the MI game, man oh did they turn on the juice as the 3rd wound down...

having seen osu play twice now, they aren't very good. yes, they have a lot of young players, but at least for this year, if you shut down fritsche and goebel, then you win.

nothing makes me happier than to see them struggle, but that's just me. :)

My own thoughts on some of the topics in the thread...

I'm not sure why Ohio State always has a reputation as such a tough team. They have one good year, have high expectations the next season and fall well below them, then they're quite mediocre for 2-3 years, then suddenly they have one more good year. Its a cycle with them where they're good once every 5-6 years. I find Miami to be infinitely more threatening on a regular basis over the last seven years or so. If I were trying to measure a team's success in the CCHA, I'd see how they fare against Miami or Notre Dame (if they remain as tough as they have been since Jackson took over) rather than using Ohio State as a bar. And of course Michigan and Michigan State, but I figured that part went without saying.

Dartmouth doesn't surprise me in the least. I saw them play a handful of times when I lived out in Mass. and they're always on the cusp, but can never seem to get over that hump. I'd be more surprised by Princeton, Yale or UConn suddenly knocking off Vermont and St. Lawrence.

And as for the photo, my guess is that they just haven't gotten a photographer to a road game yet to shoot the new orange and brown unis.

i loved playing in Thompson Arena...it has a great Atmosphere and for Dartmouth its a great home venue.
But your dead on with your thoughts on them Mick...I was expecting them to have a more similar record to BGSU right now by losing one and wining the other
and with OSU your right on...esp right now...but Ohio state is a good solid middle weight most years with spikes...I remember how frustrated people were when BG was floating around the top 4....OH THE AGONY...lol we are working back up.
