You don't want to know.

Really.

I could tell you THREE times, or I could tell you ZERO times, and you wouldn't want to know.

Cepis on the PP makes it 3-1 LSSU. The Lakers had scored 3 goals in 4 min. in the 2nd....

The bleeding has stopped, lets win this damn series!

Good assumption. TG could now tell you FOUR times or just ONE time and it would still not be good.

Looks like Sunday...

Post by TheKa »

Spratt in to start the 3rd.
Shorthander given up...5-1 Lakers in the 3rd.
Hate to say, I'm not at ALL surprised after what I saw in the 2nd and part of the 3rd Friday night.
The Falcons had better come ready to play on Sunday or they'll face the same result as they are tonight.

we won't make it past this round if that...this is typical BG this season: do good and then do bad, or vice versa. I'll be there tomorrow though to cheer 'em on-I actually had to skip a Lake Erie Monsters game tonight because I got stuck in the driveway...damn you mother nature! ha ha :).

1st Period was pretty even, both teams were trapping a bit so offense came at a minimum. 0-0 after 1. In the 2nd, everything hit the fan. On the first goal, Sexton pushed the puck towards his own blue line but there happened to be a Laker there, he fired a wrist shot over Eno's glove and it was 1-0. Not more than a minute later, Eno gave up a softy with a shot almost along the goal line on the blocker side that went through his legs. After that goal, the team kind of quit playing and the 3rd goal was the result of that, BG players standing around and watching everything. Cepis made it 3-1, but nearly the same thing happened on the Lakers 4th goal, just too many players standing around and watching. 5th goal was shorthanded on a 2-on-1 that beat Jimmy blocker side, he had no chance. I left after that.

I will say this much...very disappointed at the effort in the game tonight. LSSU wanted it more and it showed. I don't know why Eno started, he was brutal, I dunno who taught him how to play goal but the kid goes down on everything. Too many times he was caught out of position because he's in the butterfly way too much.

Seniors didn't show up tonight, you'd figure with a shot at putting the series away, they would make an impact. Makes me question the leadership on the team, as well as the coaching (but that's always being talked about). Friday night came too easy and tonight BG paid for it, very hard.

What happens now? I'm pretty certain that BG will need to play the game of their lives tomorrow to win the series. LSSU showed tonight they can hang and BG didn't want to answer the bell, so it's win or go home time, and for a relatively good season, a loss Sunday will once again show the program is not where it needs to be.

6-1 final score. A 5 on 3 power play to boot in the last 5 minutes then a mean check from our player (don't remember his name) got him thrown out. All I can say is Ouch!

Whitmore. What an incredibly stupid play for our best player to be making. Now he is out for tomorrow. Kai was trying to get himself tossed too.

Ugh. Gotta keep your head, knowing you have to come back tomorrow.

In a nutshell, it kinda shows you where some of their heads were tonight. Paluch has no control over the team if he can let things like this happen...when you're getting blown out, go through the motions and run out the game and minimize bonehead mistakes like this. I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers win tomorrow after these events.

At least coach Paluch made the smart move of putting McIlrath in the box to keep him from doing anything stupid to keep him around for tomorrow.

WTF? Were you watching the same game as Aaron? He played a hell of a lot better than most of the guys tonight. He shouldn't be the one serving penalties.

As for the Whitmore hit, by the book it's a 5. A game misconduct was announced which means he will play tomorrow. A disqualification would mean he'd be out. I said by the book because there were at least three hits earlier in the game that were from behind into the boards that weren't called. Calling that penalty like that is total BS. Same with the penalty on Maxwell. Yes, he retaliated by slashing the guy's stick. Where is the call for the hit after the whistle?

With that out of the way, we flat out played like crap tonight. We couldn't have beaten a high school team, let alone a college team. We can be glad this isn't the 80's when they played 2 games, total goals.
