I noticed THREE big things tonight:

BG played SOLID TEAM DEFENSE for 60 minutes

Jimmy made some HUGE saves

The distribution of playing time was MUCH more even amoung our players
all four lines skated regular shifts...heck, even Moore and Krelove were playing in the 3rd period.

GREAT WIN!

It is always a great day when we beat the Goons. :)

When was the last time we beat those guys up at Yost? I remember taking my dad up there a few years ago, and we went up 3-0 in the first period, and looked to be dominating. As he and I were walking around at the first intermission, my dad stated that it looked like the game was in the bag. I remember looking at him strangely and telling him that it wasn't that easy to walk into Yost and beat the Fightin' Red's. Needless to say, we totally imploded and lost 8-5 or something crazy like that.

Man, I wish I could have been there tonight. I love seeing a game in that barn, and I would love to see a BG victory up there one of these days.

What a performance by the falcon hockey team tonight, very solid defense played in this game, and also a very good job of capitalizing on opportunities to score. When you go into one of the toughest barns and play and come away with a legit 3-0 win, it was well earned. Overall BG just outplayed the wolverines and even though they were outshot, not very many good scoring chances for the Wolverines. Spratt played well and made some key saves as well as an oustanding job by the defense blocking shots themselves. Hopefully the Falcons can roll along tomorrow and pick up a sweep from the team up north.

Also my first experience at Yost and will be one of the most memorable nights of my life WOW!!!!

And I hope this puts it to rest all the people who have no faith in Spratter, give it a break the kid is legit.

And I officially eat major crow on this one. Great job icers!

We'll see this afternoon if they can follow it up, or if it was a fluke. Fluke or not, what a great victory for this team.
