Better make a change now

Post by bigdog »

Hey all, I know it been awhile and all of you are happy for me to post again. Actually I haven't been on here for some time and it was very interesting to see that the mood has changed drastically since I was last on here. Especially my lone adversary MACMAN. I was stunned by his last couple comments on here.
It is nice to read on here what me and other teammates have been trying to tell you fans for the last 3 years. It finally seems like things are starting to sink in a little, a little late mind you but better late then never. I do want to come out here and write a big "told you so" but I won't, haha. I want to talk more about what are the possible options to get rid of pooch. I will admit that I don't know the best way of doing this, clearly showed by my class being the first class to go out to the public and start voicing our opinions of the subpar coach. All that did was to turn the public against our class, in doing so it made the coach come out even better and gave him an excuse because everyone thought that when our class was gone and our influences the team would strive. I can honestly say if I had to do my college career over again I would do the same thing and I would chose BG. I loved it there, the town, the school, the fans, and yes even the girls. Even with being coached under pooch I still have very fond memories.
I still stay very close to many team members and thus we talk lots about the current team and such. It was just lately when I started hearing about Maxwell and Cepis leaving. Two big loses in my opinion, and I was the one who said cepis wouldn't be much of a player, I would just like to say I was pleasantly surprised. It also says something that a player who was under pooch and having such a tough year can have teams like minnesota, wisco interested in him.
I think the current lose of players and the past loses are immense and can no longer be ignored. Time for a change, Time to turn around the team. But more importantly then wins and losses, is its time to make a change so that the current and future players no longer have to endure everything that me and my teammates had to put up with.

Obviously something has changed drastically in the English department at BGSU in the last 15 years. How did you get a degree with spelling and grammar like that?

That video was great! Not a fan of rap, but that was pretty amusing. My favorite comment was this: i dunt cair if peepull tink i m stoopid n dum i dunt hass to lern to rite n speek cureklee to git a jawb :-D
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

You were right, I was wrong.
I do however believe that based on the economic situation and that the U has not yet begun to work on the rink (best of my knowledge anyway) that he will be here for his last contract year. Too Broke to make it right in other words.

Macman, I actually really appreciated your comment. At least it had something to do with hockey.
As for the rest of you, talk about nerds. Who goes on youtube to find a video like that. Dork

Dude as some who suffers from dyslexia and who can if he wants to take the time get it right after much proofing doesn't care....as long as you down the key ideas a person of reasonable intelligence can get what is said. Also remember BG is a big school for education minded folks who plan on teaching...its ingrained in them to find errors. the deal for me is I know the message gets across and I dont have that much time...my posts are like my emails...and if folks have issue with it they dont have to read them...can you imagin if you took the time to point out every piece of flawed logic when talking about a hockey game on here, or player performances and evaluations...you do know we are all pro scouts in the stands right
and by the way your wellcome, when Im wrong Ill admit it no problem, but I had to give the guy a fair shot...or three, and well hes been in the rough most of the hole.

1. Don't be fooled by my 'newbie' status. I just set up a new username because someone inside the program figured out who I was.

2. I agree with MACMAN's last post. I'd be shocked if there was a change here before the end of NEXT season. Its a real Catch22, years of poor performance have driven away so much of the community/alumni support that there aren't enough people left to make up a 'fund' to buy out his contract. I don't often agree with MACMAN, but he's nailed it on this.

3. Bigdog, you need to use your head. Calling people on this board nerds and dorks isn't likely to gain you any support here. If your posts from two years ago had been better written, they might have been taken more seriously. I'm NOT just talking about grammar or spelling, either. Your input IS valued here, and (sadly) your points have proven true. Let's just keep it civil.

4. How do you like my signature?

I've never seen it before byt last night: "Fire Pooch" signs and chants were going on in the student section. people were talking alot during intermissions about how much he needs to go... That's the first time I've seen and heard stuff like that in the student section.
