Don't be ashamed of our fan base. Michigan has had year after year of successful hockey to watch. We have had a LONG, LONG, LOOOOOOOONG stretch of frustrating seasons. The kind of support they have is what we USED to have each and every game. That is what Paluch and his staff are working so hard to return to. We are headed in the right direction. And it IS GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN. I believe that with all my heart!!! This is the reason we need to get some decent organized cheers going and get the band on board with them, They can be key to all of it, if it's done right!!!

I also remember the days when, believe it or not, Michigan had no student fans. Those were the days when BG was on top and Michigan was way down the line. As they gained status, they also gained student fans--and their profanity laced cheers. Our day is coming and as we get there, our student fan base will grow again. Let's just hope the profanity laced cheers don't follow.

Those students have no class!!!! i would rather have 0 students in the seats than to have students like UM. Did any one tell you what they were chanting when our guys go to the box?? lets just say its about 15 are all about 4-5 letters long!!! And the constent finger and i really don't like the vacume and black hole sucking chant its kind of lame. The atmosphere was why we lost that game but i never want to be like that and say those words never never never!!!! And there was this guy infront of me and he thought he was sooo smart cause he came up with BGSUcks and i was like hey we've heard that 100 times and you can do that winth any college that has state university in the name... MSUcks OSUcks BSUcks LSUcks... and so on. I have played hockey for years and i love it its my fav. sport and probably my best one but if we ever get that bad i'm done going to games period!!!!

I meant that we had a LOUD crowd years ago that was very intimidating to the visiting teams, but it was NEVER, I REPEAT NEVER anything like the garbage that they spew up there!!! As we have said over and over and over on this board, we DON'T want to copy them, just have a full arena with loud fans having a great time, and yelling great stuff!!! I agree with you 10000% that the student crowd at Yost is the nastiest and most vulgar crowd there is. It's why I won't go to a game up there. It's why I would NEVER take my kids there. It's why I hate U of M with such a passion, that it makes me crazy!!!!

And speaking of FULL ARENA.....I just heard from a VERY reliable source that there are ONLY STANDING ROOM TICKETS LEFT!!!

WOOOO-HOOOOO!!! With the thunderstix, the crowd, ....we are gonna rock the rink tonight!! ....Just hope half the crowd isn't in blue.....

We were in section 9, among adults. Very friendly and congenial bleacher mates. The chanting from the student sections was white noise; couldn't understand anything except "sieve". One regret was not being close to the band when they did their Sam and Dave/Blues Brothers' number with the solos. That's one act I wish BG would copy.

Had hoped that with all goals in the first two periods being scored in that end, we'd keep the trend going. No such luck.
