GREAT Bylsma/Reirden article
Guys like these are why I have a hard time believing the program could be eliminated. These guys and others like Blake, McPhee, Bieska etc... still bleed Orange and Brown for this program. That is the difference between us and places like Kent St. We just need to get a REAL coach in there. College hockey is about coaching, if you can coach, you can win enough to get things like renovations and new arenas to happen.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Bylsma is 5-1-1 with the Pens and has them back into the 8th spot in the East. He's making a really nice case to remove that interim tag in the off-season. The players are starting to buy into his philopsophies, and they're looking better than they have all year. It's great to see with a Falcon behind the bench.
