yeah we had a bad year, but how quickly do people forget about last year! Remember Whit. and his awesome season? Remember that all season we were 5th behind UM, ND, MSU, and MI who most all season were ranked in the top 15? We hosted a home playoff series where the atmosphere in the Ice Arena was 2nd to none. Not to mention how is a team supposed to make it out of a funk if the University is talking about cutting the program year after year? I don't see the hockey program going away anytime soon. But I am so upset that it is even an issue right now.
And I have a few questions for the experts about funds for football. I love football but it seems that football would be a way more expensive sport to run.
Questions about football funds:
1. Lights? where did that money come from?
2. Sebo Center all private?
3. Scoreboard?
4. Elevators?
5. New paint jobs?
5. Running the lights? I've seen the lights on when we are playing on the road!!
6. Paying the concessions people?
7. New uprights?
8. Turf? I know it was cheeper with grass
Don't get me wrong I love football, but there is so much money that goes in to 4-5 games a year. 2 of those games are going to be dead cold, and you might get lucky and get good weather for the rest. Just doesn't seem right with other programs are on the chopping block.
And my final question is where does the money for parking go??? The ice arena and overflow lots are so bad!!!!

Not sure about football but you bring up a good point about parking! Where does that money go our roads and parking lots are crumbling. The biggest improvement to pking and traffic which I think the BGSU police fall under is those new 2008 Dodge Charger police cars!! lolcakruke wrote:....And my final question is where does the money for parking go???
