We have had good goalies, but we have not had a super star in a long time. I was excited about Unice, as would have been a star, but that did not work out, this will and I am excited to see this guy play and see if he is the star we have been looking for.

Our goalies have been good, the problem has been crappy defense infront of them. A great goalie will cut down on easy goals, but it's still hard to stop 2-1 and 3-1 rushes up the ice!

National Championship Goalie

Post by rood »

Andrew Hammond's Vernon Vipers just won the RBC Cup as Canada's National Junior A Champions. Hammond got a 2-0 shutout in the championship game and had a 1.94 GAA in 5 games in the tournament.

Looks like Eno better get himself back into playing shape this summer.

If anyone wants to watch that championship game here's a link to the TSN.ca video of all 3 periods: http://watch.tsn.ca/#clip170598 . I don't know whether or not the link I posted directs you straight to the video of that game, but if you click "Video Library" and then scroll down to "Hockey Canada Events on Demand" and then click "2009 RBC Cup Championship" that will give you all 3 periods in separate segments.
