Dr. Cartwright did her homework, as she promised she would! The thousands of emails that she got in March really opened her eyes to how the BG hockey program and its connection to BGSU and this community is perceived and remembered!! That was the first thing that got her seriously thinking about what could be done to save the program. Meeting with the alumni hockey players in July was what sealed the deal!! Their passion was unmistakable in that meeting. I knew that if she didn't "get it" after that meeting, she never would. Believe me, SHE GOT IT!!!! A week and a half later, she announced the $2.5 million to add to the $1.5 from the state to equal the original $4 milllion promised for fixing the rink!! She and Jack Vivian are the two key players as to why Falcon Hockey will continue on!!! I cannot even begin to express my sincere and heartfelt gratitude to them!!!
