You can't help but listen to Coach Williams talk and not get excited. He seems like the kind of coach that players want to run through walls for.

The interesting points I took away:
- Never talked about the off-season crisis.
- Every position is open. No one has a guaranteed spot.
- Seniors are stepping up and mentoring the large freshmen class.
- He likes our rink just fine and doesn't need an 18,000 seat arena to sell the program.

And my favorite point he made:
- We will never lose a game because of a lack of effort.

Once again, special thanks to Coach Williams, Ryan Gasser, and the rest of the athletic department. It sounds like this will be a weekly event so I should be able to cover it weekly. Also, later in the week I'll be posting my first "Game Thread/Video."

I wish he would have spoken about the game he wants to play, what kind of team (aside from not quitting etc..) this will be.

Good to finally have some kind of show to with hockey! Gets you jacked and ready for a game...hope we get some post game as well.
