I guess they want a new leader after flaming out in the playoffs the last few years despite having incredible teams. Hopefully Blake can be the one to take them to the Cup.

Patty Marleau couldn't get it done... he's a great offensive player, but come playoff time, he was always scrutinized as not leading enough. Rob will be great in the captain role. He's got the skills and the know how to take them to the cup (as much as I don't want them to win it... go Pens!)
