Pretty big win tonight and was the best I've seen our guys play in 2 years. Eno had some flashes of brilliance and the guys in front of him allowed him to see the shots. We scored good goals and Eno should have earned the shootout but got beat on a funky deflection.

My only concern is that we played our top line a ton in that final 6-8 minutes. Hopefully they won't have to pull that kind effort again tomorrow.

Interesting lines/notes from the post game presser (look for it sometime tomorrow):
- Pageau served a one game suspension for academic reasons (class attendance). Shea was a healthy scratch.
- The first thing coach did when we walked in was sat down, looked around the room, and breathed a pretty heavy sigh or relief. Pretty funny moment and welcome after the past few weeks.
- "Aggressive but patient" was how Williams described the Falcon's forecheck. Sidenote: Tommy Dee is a beast on the forecheck.

The line of the night?
"That probably doubled our average on the year."
-Coach Williams jokingly discussing the Falcons scoring 3 goals.

Totally agree! What a great win. I loved the team's energy and aggressiveness tonight. Eno made some awesome saves and our goaltender finally got the help up front that they needed.

I can't wait for Saturday night's game!

Go Falcons!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I am stoked about the win. Only a few break downs where Alaska had some great slot opurtunities, the most complete hockey game I have seen our plays...and what about staying out of the box...funny what happens when you stay out of the box.
I loved 5 on 3 PP, the guys ran the same pendulum that 18u team ran and it worked.
Even when the nanoks tried like heck to change the pace of the game in the 3rd our guys stayed on game, its not fast, not slow, but it was our game and we stayed with it.
Eno played very well, and the absence of a gagillion slot shots allowed him be solid..I loved it when in the 2nd he shut that guy down in the 1-0 turn over...that was huge, the kind of huge you only need or want once in a game.
I believe if take it to them again quick and early we can dominate again tomorrow. I was happy with the crowd tonight as well, I imagine it will be even better tomorrow night. Its always good to see a nanok fan turn out, those parents dont get thier boys enough, but even still, its great letting them watch them loose
Big night tomorrow.

That is the result of great coaching throughout the game. Rotate through the lines throughout the game so when it comes down to the end the top line(s) can play a bunch, and have the energy they need. In past years the top line would play so much by the time the end of the game came around they'd be too tired to do anything.

Anyways, awesome win. That is the best I have seen this team play this season. They got three past one of the best goalies in the nation. And just listening to the reaction of the fans when the team saluted the crowd after the game....awesome!

Didn't see any of last night's game, obviously, but this is great. This team is showing that they've got a lot of guts and can even play well fundamentally, something we didn't do much of during most of the Paluch era. That's two wins against teams ranked in the top 12 in the past 3 weeks.

Like I said after the UNO win, a SWEEP would really get the momentum going and put the rest of the league on notice. Get it done BG! Beat the Nanooks!
