I just got a release from the Walleye stating that Jimmy Spratt was just signed as an emergency backup goalie. You can read more at http://www.bgnewssports.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
This is definitely a great place for Spratt to land if you ask me. He already has somewhat of a fan base in the area, so if he ever breaks through as more than a backup, it will be good for both him and the Walleye.

As nice as the press box was, I'm loving being able to root for the Falcons now. Too bad I have to do so from Illinois.

He was signed as an emergency backup since Alec Richards was called up to the AHL. Once Richards come back, Spratt will be released. It's nice that he'll get a paycheck and some practice time but I doubt he sees the ice, unless Richards is up in Rockford for a long time.
