What a fun thing to do for the team!!!
Willy, you rock!!! :supz:
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Just drives home how much the players enjoy playing for him. It'd be pretty awesome to host an outdoor game at the Doyt!

I tell you what...great idea and I bet they had blast...but the ice at OP is awesome...IMHO it is the best ice in the area. Good and hard with all the new chillers and floor, and what makes it even better is yea its out side so the ice will develop some "pond like" irregularity if you play on the right days.
The renovations were really something els. here is link to a great series of Photos documenting the updates

if you get the chance you should skate up there...its great.
I with no seating to speak of BGSU could possibly put in temp bleachers and play a game there...that would be great.

I skate there every weekend its open, there is nothing better. Good to see Willy change things up and have the boys experience something new. They play some high school games now at the rink, which is great to see. My dad played there back in the 70s and loved it.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
