The postgame video is in the process of uploading now. I'll go ahead and embed the video but it won't be good to go until around 11pm tonight.

Solid game tonight... There's some good young talent and if we can keep people around and on the same page I think we'll continue to see more wins.

This weekend was the only games I've seen this season, and first since a home series vs. Northeastern last year (or maybe it was two years ago, I don't remember..) Here are some observations...

Pros
-Hammond played outstandingly tonight and was solid in relief of Eno last night. What a great save on the 5 on 3 from his pack and the pokecheck on the 3 on 0 in the 3rd.
-PK got the job done tonight, after a shaky night last night, especially on the 2 minutes of 5 on 3
-Good hustle plays by Fink, Williamson and others tonight

Cons
-The powerplay. We've had bad ones in the past, this year's is the worst.
-Physical play. We're getting out muscled along the boards and I would guess get pretty consistently out hit.
-Sloppy passing, especially breaking out and through the neutral zone. Way too many turnovers and missed odd man rushes due to bad passing.
-Conditioning. We seemed really tired during the last five minutes of the 3rd tonight... at the exact time we needed the most energy
-We have NO offense threat from the blueline - McIntosh is a converted forward right? On our 3rd period pp chance we had five forwards on the ice and that didn't help either. We need guys who can control the blueline and get pucks on net, like Ruel did for his goal.

It was great to be back and cheer on a falcon victory tonight. Keep up the good work icers and let's bring back the glory!

Wish someone could post the video of the last 2-3 minutes of the game. It was pretty impressive to watch Hammond stand on his head! I thought I was going to have a freakin' heart attack waiting for the game clock to wind down to zero!!!! Most fun I've had watching a Falcon Hockey game in a long time!!! :supz:
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

On a personal note, Saturday night's game was one of the most enjoyable I have ever experienced because of my 12 year old grandson. Although he comes to a number of the home games with us, this night was special! He ended the night with a BG tuque, a soft BG puck we might use for street hockey, the autographs of ALL the players, and an exciting WIN!!! He said it was his best hockey night ever. He didn't even ask to skate during the third period this weekend. Thanks, guys, in my effort to keep him a BG hockey fan for life!
