Saturday Night at Munn

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

End of 1, 0-1

Hammond in net. Solway out tonight (headache/sinus), so is Ruel again.

Everett keeps saying it looks like the Falcons will travel to NMU next week...ugh. Was hoping for some place closer.

GO ICERS!!
BEAT SPARTY!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Final score 0-2. Only the third time they were shut out this year, which is surprising given the overall record.

Regular season is over. Hate that Falcon Hockey is almost over, but know that we are headed in the right direction with this coaching staff!!

On to the playoffs... right now it's down to NMU or WMU. Hoping for WMU so they don't have to make that LOOOOONG trip to the UP, but radio is saying it's probably Northern.

Could be worse...at least we don't have to travel to Fairbanks.

Athletics department says it's NMU.

Northern was actually the best draw we could get. We've played very well against them this year.

That's pretty much what Bergeron said in his post game presser:

GO FALCONS!!
SWEEP THE WILDCATS!!!

What is our record against NMU this season? Didn't we sweep them earlier this year?

We were 1-2-1 against them with our win coming in their barn.
