I just wanted to start a new thread to say how very proud I am of this team!! These kids have been through HELL and back, especially the juniors and seniors!! While the season has been frustrating time and time again, they NEVER GAVE UP and they NEVER SURRENDERED!!! I truly believe we have the coaching staff in place that is going to take this team back to where it belongs. Bergeron, Eigner and Schutte have worked their AZZes off this year trying to mold this team, trying to change a mindset, trying to teach them the mentality of what a championship team should be and now they are seeing their hard work paying off!! We've turned a corner that VERY few people thought would happen this year!! And we're not done, not by a long shot!!

You know we may lose this next series to Michigan 4-0, 5-0 but what the win over UNM did many things. First, it gives our team 4 more practices and 2 more games. Every practice and game experience, regardless the outcome will help us next year. It also shows the underclass what it feels like to not only win a road game but a road playoff game and in overtime in a do or die situation. It will also want to. Make the underclass to get even better which should make them work harder in the offseason and next year with them knowing the hockey system be able to concentrate on the other details therefore making us a better team. Sure we may lose to Michigan. We may get blown out of the arena but this win over UNM is huge for our rebuilding process!! Congratulation Falcon Icers!!
