It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

He could wind up in Detroit. Rafalski is retiring freeing up a lot of dough...and Lidstrom might be leaving as well.

I was just going to post that very thought, Tom... he would look great in the winged wheel. They pretty much have to resign Ericcson now, I would think. If he walks along with Rafalski, that's a pretty big change over in your top six defensemen

Great videos which includes a 12 minute video of Beezer's goal, the celebration afterwards, interview with Kevin and the awards presentation.

Vancouver would be better off keeping Bieksa and letting a guy like Ehrhoff go. I don't expect Kevin to be on the market come July 1.

Well...yeah...but do they have the money to do it? They have a lot of top level talent in the twins, Kesler and Bobby L.

Bieksa already makes top 2 money for a d-man. I'm pretty sure he's already making $3.5.

If the cap goes up enough I'm sure they can squeeze him in somewhere. Plus, the UFA market this year isn't top notch so there's a good possibility a guy like Kevin can command above average money due to his playoff and comparison amongst his defensive peers.
