If it's a HO-GO that could be interesting...if it's a HOG-O...wellllll...that could be interesting too.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Why is the Hockey Alumni Weekend and golf outing such a secret (my perception)? I think they have a golf outing but you never hear anything about it. They play a game in the arena but it looks like hardly anbody sees it. Am I missing something? I love this team and program and have been season ticket holder for years. The opportunity to meet with these guys would be fantastic. Just curious. Maybe there is a very good reason for this and if that is the case, sorry for my dumb question.

The alumni prefer to keep things pretty low key. It's seen as more of a chance to re-connect with their old teammates and friends and not a "homecoming" for the players. With that said I've never heard of any problem of a former player signing an autograph, taking a picture, or just talking with a fan while back in town.

+1, Drew!! You are absolutely correct!!

Years ago there was a community/alumni outing, but the University shut that down and wouldn't let them do it any more as a fund raiser for the program. They went to ONE big outing for all 18 sports...and, well, it didn't raise near the money they got when they did their OWN outing. NOW, the current coaching staff are very passionate about getting as many alumni back to reconnect with the program as possible. They don't want them back for publicity reasons or for specific fund raising, but to reconnect, to have fun, and to remember why this program and town are so special to them!!! That goal was accomplished (and is every year) with the guys who came back this year, some for the first time since they left! Heard one of them say he and his buddies made a pact out (on the golf course) to come back every year!! Now THAT is awesome!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
