That's too bad. They have a really nice arena now that is has been renovated. They seemed to have a decent amount of students attending the game I went to but that was about it. Little support from the city it looked like.

Updated information on the Charger's site:
http://www.uahchargers.com/index.php?op ... Itemid=330

Looks like they are going to drop to club level again. That's better than cutting it completely. At least this way, they have a chance to return to D-1 again in the future. Still sucks big time though. REALLY BIG TIME!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

The most idiotic part of this is an interim president made the decision. The new president is taking over in the next week or two. Why not let the actual president make the call?

I agree, but in reading the note from the guy I'm not surprised. Instead of using the "interim president" title, he simple referred to himself as the "President". Have a feeling he thinks pretty highly of himself.

The new President was a part of the decision making process. The Interim President takes the PR hit and the new President has clean hands as he arrives on campus.

Not idiotic at all. It happens all the time.

He's actually the chancellor of the University of Alabama system. So in essence, he's the boss of the new president.
