Slowly gotten worse just about every year since 84.

During the welcome home reception for the '84 team, Jerry York said that the goal was to focus on winning another national championship as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, it soon became apparent that the athletic department was more interested in planning anniversary events than investing in the program. Having season tickets during the '80's was golden.
