BG 0-4 on the Power Play. Even strength I agree not playing all that bad but the power play has no flow and team looks lost. No one wants to shoot the puck. At least put the puck on the net

We lose 4-0. We got outplayed. We didn't want to win. We were slower than them and did not know how to play offense. We sucked. Plain and simple. We didn't even look like we belonged there. Pathetic.

Bummer of a way go end the season. Two years ago with the huge upset over Ferris, I thought for sure we were building toward something truly special. Maybe we still are and maybe we are closer to the conference championship than I think, but it is frustrating to see the season end this way.

We are consistently winning the first round at least. Now let's get home ice next year and let's hope for a 20 win season, I think we can do it. Seeing there was a decent amount of freshman and sophomores getting playing time today, this experience should help them. Time to start counting down the days...

Granted it is a Friday at 2. Normal humans have school and work. And then the other team is a 14 hour drive away. It's to be expected that the turnout wouldn't be great.

I see lots of gyms with good crowds with 12:15 and 2:30 tip offs on Thursday and Friday. A couple of buses could have held all that was in attendance today in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

I believe WCHA really screwed the pooch on the scheduling of this event.

They were smoking some serious dope to think the attendance could justify a 'split-session' with separate tickets for both semi-finals. Ought to have been 5pm/8pm start with one ticket, good for both games. Their collective brains were still thinking they had a field of Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and Duluth playing in a hockey mad metro area of 2 million.

Grand Rapids is a nice place, but it's HOURS from anywhere (except Buehler State).

Are the coaches not telling Burke to be more careful when playing the puck? Or, don't play the puck? He gave a goal away, again, not that it ended-up mattering much.

Mrs. BG84 and I saw the 2nd and 3rd periods of Ferris vs. Anchorage. It was entertaining, Ferris winning in overtime 5-4.
